Engagement in Research vs Updating Disciplinary Knowledge

My active engagement in research related to 'Decision Analytics, Applied Operations Research, System Engineering & Project Management' helps me to keep me updated on the body of knowledge. Since my research is mostly on applied business problems or real-life problems, I can easily relate my expertise, research contents to augment the teaching materials. For example, my recent engagement in a UNSW Online Course ZZCA6510: Decision Making in Analytics provided me with an excellent platform to share and educate my research experience on Decision Analytics and Applied Operations Research. There, I have developed an assessment component termed 'Project', which was on real-life decision-making problems taken from different industry sectors. My updated disciplinary knowledge also helped me to secure a good myExperience score for the ZZCA6510 course (Mean 5.11 with a percentage of agreement 88.90%).

Meanwhile, my expertise in project management has provided me with an opportunity to create and develop a new course for the Master of Project Management program. I along with another academic of this school has designed the ZEIT8310: Project Schedule and Budget Control course for the very first time to offer in Semester 1, 2021.
