Engagement in Teaching Support Group (TSG) by Reviewing Postgraduate Courses.

I have been working with the Teaching Support Group (TSG) for reviewing different PG courses.

  • In the 2nd semester of 2020 (UNSW Canberra), I have reviewed the ZEIT8008: Space Systems Design course and then outline a few important ways to improve teaching and learning. I have observed the course content and delivery methods as per the five goals or pillars of ‘Quality Teaching Framework (QTF)’. I have assigned level/scores based on the standard QTF principle. Furthermore, to observe classroom engagement, I have also reviewed the Classroom Observation Protocol for Undergraduate STEM (COPUS). This protocol was adapted from the Teaching Dimensions Observation Protocol and can be used to reliably characterise how academic staff (instructors/educators) and students are spending their time in the classroom.
  • Based on my observation, I made a thorough report for the betterment of this course in future runs.
