In 2017 Prof Gary Velan, Senior Vice Dean (Education) nominated me to Prof Geoff Crisp, Pro Vice-Chancellor Education to become a peer reviewer of UNSW academics’ teaching as part of the new UNSW Peer Review of Teaching program. The invitation noted that I had been identified as a potential reviewer because of my commitment to educational excellence and that I had the support of the Associate Dean (Education). Since my appointment to this role, I have undertaken summative peer reviews of teaching activities from across UNSW.
