In 2019, I led project that aimed to explore partnership opportunities with Indian schools of optometry and eye institutes, and hospitals and universities in China and Taiwan. The investigative team worked with the Optometry Council of India, and colleagues in China and Taiwan to identify several key institutes across these countries with whom UNSW SOVS could partner.

• As a result of this project UNSW School of Optometry and Vision Science partnered with Chung Shan Medical University, Taiwan and Asia University, Taiwan. The partnership fosters student exchange programs and research collaborations. This initiative led to writing an EOI Memorandum of Understanding with these universities 
• In India, we found opportunities for clinical placements for our international postgraduate coursework students.
