I currently mentor one of our talented EF academic staff members who will attend international conferences on the use of augmented reality for teaching WHS in the clinical environment (WCO/OMEGA). That work commenced pre-COVID but made headlines through UNSW Media for its educational potential to provide clinicians with immediate feedback on how well they wash their hands.

I am also supporting an early career academic who contributed to our recent showcases for the Gateway and Nura Gili programs. The photo attached shows Peter using a document camera to demonstrate refraction of lenses and how to assemble a cardboard VR headset for a subsequent activity. This simple use of a document camera was a great way to connect with students in real time, while maintaining social distancing.
