Jon Cai is a Senior Education Developer (Medicine & Health) in the Nexus Program at UNSW Sydney, where he works at the intersection of curriculum innovation, educational technology, and inclusive learning design. In this role, Jon partners with academics, program leaders, and professional staff across faculties to design and implement scalable, system-level solutions that enhance student learning, assessment, and wellbeing.

His work focuses on inclusive and accessible learning design, programmatic assessment, feedback practices, and the use of digital tools, including AI-enabled approaches, to improve engagement and equity at scale. With a strong background in learning design, web technologies, and data-informed practice, Jon is known for translating complex pedagogical and technical challenges into practical, sustainable solutions embedded within institutional platforms. His interests include Universal Design for Learning, educational innovation in health professions education, and large-scale transformation in higher education.
