2023 School of Biomedical Sciences Award for Outstanding Contributions to the student experience

This award recognises several initiatives introduced to the School of Biomedical Sciences honours course to support the student experience. These are:

• The effective use of online assessment forms for the honours assessment tasks to collect marking according to the prescribed rubric and provide timely written feedback to the honours students from each examiner.
• Supporting student learning and sense of belonging by expanding workshops on writing literature reviews, scientific manuscripts and providing new workshops on scientific presentation and communication techniques, in response to student feedback.
• Teaching of scientific communication techniques using a constructivist approach to developing skills.
