Clinical examinations and teacher-training

Throughout the Academic year, Clinical examinations are typically held twice a year. These comprise of OSCE, portfolio assessment as well as Medical and Surgical Clinical stations. I contributed to this at Sutherland Hospital, and with the Biomedical assessments at Prince of Wales Hospital.

Throughout the year I assisted with the marking of AH1 and AH2 written assessments and regularly assessed the Phase 2 Clinical Case Presentations.

The Examiner training sessions that are held via Teams, especially for the portfolio examinations, is particularly useful, as it allow one to establish the accepted 'benchmark' for grading, which can be difficult to ascertain indiviually as Portfoli assessments take so long to complete.
