I have conducted several innovative scholarship of teaching interventions; these research-led approaches to teaching are important to ensure I am accountable to my students and their individual learning needs. I have since supported and guided my PhD students and early career academic mentees to engage in scholarly teaching practices, and where possible, scholarship of teaching interventions. Indeed, three of my academic mentees have since won teaching awards based on their teaching practice and scholarship of teaching interventions.
