I have mentored and competed alongside students in hackathons as a way of extending learning beyond the classroom into real-world, time-pressured problem solving:

  • Australian Defence Tech Hackathon (2026): Won with CrowdShield (now Digital Fence), a distributed counter-drone system using passive WiFi sensing — developed with former AWC students who had taken
