Assessing Feedback Practices within UNSW

This Feedback Fellowship followed on from an earlier Assessment and Feedback Fellowship project. The purpose for this project was to evaluate the current feedback practices within UNSW including student's voice, perspectivs from sessional staff and course convenors and looking at how the current literature defines feedback in higher forms of education.

The findings of the Feedback Fellowship have been passed back to PVCSE. The findings uncovered an emerging paradigm for feedback to incorporate dialogic and feed forward feedback which encourages students to become agents of their learning. Being part of this Fellowship Team increased my awareness for making incremental changes to my own feedback practices which can better empower students. This has been a valuable way to reflect on my own teaching practices and increase my own expertise in this area.
