Overview

Invitations to publications, presentation and workshops on teaching that impact Educational Knowledge have become many and more varied as my Leadership roles evolved (UNSW AEF, E4, p. 4); with Learning & Teaching opportunities for mentor/mentee relationships developing alongside my classroom teaching.

I take pride in working across the Design Lab (USYD), the Creative Robotics Lab (UNSW A&D), and Squarespace (UNSW BE) on bringing my own curatorial practice into both T&L spaces and to fellow educators. This was most recently accomplished through a collaboration between the SHErobots and New Media Curation research platforms. This partnership has featured iterative art systems by prolific media artists Prof. Mari Velonaki, Prof. Henriette Bier, Dr. Elena Knox, the Galath3a Girls (Gili Ron and Irina Bogden), A/Prof. Petra Gemeinboeck, Dr. Rob Saunders and Dr. Rochelle Hayley. This demonstrates my mentorship of my peers (UNSW AEF, L3, p. 4).

The first iteration of SHErobots resulted in an exhibition and catalogue; the second in an exhibition and A&D Education Forum distributed to the educators in the school of Art & Design and featured in the EF Bulletin (26 February 2024, excerpt below). These industry experiences facilitated educational in-situ case studies for my students, including the attendance of launch and educational events with a key Sydney gallery. The follow-on Education Forum from TU Delft in the Netherlands allowed a platform for EF colleagues across UNSW to share universal truths about working with students of all levels across disciplines and in experimental ways. This demonstrates the management, support, mentorship and training of sessional staff, particularly at an early career level (UNSW AEF, L3, Levels C and D, p. 4)
