Responding Dynamically To Student Feedback To Implement Significant Positive Developments of Course

In 2024 students gave feedback that the Foundations Chemistry Bridging modules are only diagnostic questionswith links to resources to learn the content.

This student feedback was the basis for me creating lessons for the Chemistry Bridging Modules, using innovative H5P platforms to further support student learning.

The creation of these modules was particularly important to me as Phase I Lead of a rural campus given a rural high school education is associated with socioeconomic disadvantage, with students often being the first in their family to attend university. It was therefore important to me create learning supports that help 'even the playing field' for these students.

I also created innovative Moodle Biology Bridging Modules on Passive and Active Cellular Transport Mechanisms in response to students doing poorly on an exam question on these concepts and also due to my own observations that students struggle with these concepts when I was teaching them in practical classes. These modules encompass interactive lessons, lectures using Green screen software and clinical and basic science questions in a variety of formats to address the way different students learn.
