In my role as Director of Undergraduate Studies, I keep up to date with the current guidelines, policies and technologies that are necessary to design new courses or make changes to existing ones. Colleagues refer to me whenever this knowledge is needed. 

The working group has the goal of re-designing the degrees offered by the Faculty and the majors within. It's part of my role to help creating new opportunities for different schools or faculties to collaborate and design interdisciplinary majors or minors. The AustMS has various scholarship and fellowship schemes, especially for students. Many of them are funded by a bequest of some description. Sometimes the conditions of the scholarships as specified by donors are not always compatible with equity of opportunity. The AustMS did not have a clear “official” statement of its guiding principles regarding equity,

The University is transitioning to Inspera for all its final exam. I'm one of the Faculty representatives that brings feedback to the Digital Assessment Team that curates the transition.

The Committee has the role of approving new courses, as well as suggesting and approving school's policies on teaching practices and assessment.
