Since 2023, I have been a member of the POCUS (Point of Care Ultrasound) Curriculum Group. This is a multidisciplinary team tasked with developing a curriculum to vertically integrate Point of Care Ultrasound across the new, redesigned Medicine Program (for 2028). The group includes academic staff, clinicians, students and alumni, working collaboratively to design a framework that embeds POCUS throughout all three Medicine phases.
As the member representing the anatomy department, my role is to contribute to discussions on how POCUS can be effectively incorporated into anatomy teaching (lectures, tutorials, laboratory sessions, and assessment design). This collaboration strengthens the program’s focus on applied anatomy and prepares students for modern, technology-based clinical practice.
