ANZCA Lifeblood VHA module design and creation in collaboration with Haematology
In 2024 I did some lectures for Lifeblood on their clinical transfusion course, with Dr Clarke, a haematologist at Lifeblood
I then approached ANZCA with a concept for a critical bleeding module for all anaesthetists in A&NZ and they took the rest of 2024 to establish a memorandum of understanding between the two bodies, this had not been done before.

Collaboration with Industry-teaching on the WERFEN international transfusion course and CSL advisory board
My work involves collaboration with industry, particularly Werfen International, where I was an invited speaker for the last three years on faculty for the annual international patient blood management course. This course is run as 3 hours of lectures over 6 consecutive Saturdays across over 80 countries and to more than 2500 participants. I presented a lecture and created Multiple choice exam

I have had leadership experience on educational committees over many years.
This includes :
2005-2023 -ANZCA/ASA Continuing Education committee organising meetings in my specialty field of anaesthesiology and in this role i was the convener of three Hilton meetings in 2008, 2010 and 2015.

Red Cross Lifeblood external module reviewer
In 2025 I reviewed the new critical bleeding module created by Lifeblood .
This is being used to educate students and clinicians across the nation
Mentoring Medical students, Anaesthesia trainees and other hospitals as they implement VHA goal-directed bleeding management
Over the past 25 years i have mentored over 20 Anaesthesia trainees through mentor programs.
in 2025 I commenced mentoring medical students at UNSW where the maximum is 2 per mentor
Over the past 4 years, I have spent dozens of hours assisting other NSW hospitals, including Nepean, Port Macquarie, Wollongong and Lismore, as they implement goal directed bleeding
c-MED course and ANZAHPE member
I completed the c-MED courses some years ago and have been a member of ANZAHPE for four years attending many educational sessions there
