Across the courses I co-convene or am extensively involved in (see below), I design and produce a series of Anatomy Summary Sheets: one-page, visually attractive, colour-coded resources that distil each week’s core content into clear frameworks. These serve as revision tools that simplify complex content while reinforcing alignment with course learning outcomes. Thus, each sheet is in line with my teaching philosophy of clarity through simplicity.
The content and layout vary by course to match cohort level (e.g. two “Cranial Nerves” sheets, one tailored to introductory cohorts and an advanced version for senior students).

I actively engage students in refinement, collecting feedback through myExperience surveys. The raw comments (see below) consistently emphasise how the visual design and simplicity enhance understanding and motivation. I also encourage colleagues to adopt/adapt these materials for use across related courses.
These resources have received outstanding student feedback, reflected in sustained high satisfaction ratings:
- ANAT3411: 100% overall satisfaction with teaching for four consecutive years (personal commendation from the Director of Teaching Quality).
- ANAT2452: 100% overall satisfaction two years in a row (the course’s entire lifespan) and formal commendation from the SBMS Education Committee.
- ANAT1521/2111: 99% satisfaction (up from 97% - following inclusion of the new summary sheets).
- MFAC1526: 99% overall satisfaction with teaching.
